And just like that, another month is behind us – where has the time gone?? May is going to be a pretty busy month for me, lots of events/traveling, but all really fun things! I’m in utter shock that my 1 year wedding anniversary is next week. NEXT WEEK PEOPLE. Our first year of marriage has flown by, Tom and I have endured so many new things and I’m just so excited to see what the next year holds. But anyways (I’ll keep the sappy stuff for next week’s post) I wanted to share this adorable jumpsuit that I got from a local boutique here in San Diego – Closet. Unfortunately, Closet doesn’t have their products listed on their website but if you’re local to the area, I highly recommend you to visit. They’ve easily become my favorite boutique for some of the cutest spring/summer outfits at an affordable price.
Happy Monday everyone! Every single Sunday I think to myself “where did the weekend go?!” I honestly don’t know how 2 days can go by in a flash *sigh* Our weekend was a very relaxing one, we didn’t do much because we were home with our sick puppy. I actually left work early on Friday because our vet requested that we bring him in immediately, he had been experiencing some dry heaving/breathing issues 2 nights in a row and we didn’t want to take our chances by waiting to get him seen. Thankfully, the doctor didn’t find anything seriously wrong with him. Just to be safe, we decided to play it cool and just spend some quality time together!
On Sunday we decided to venture out of the house and up to Carlsbad. For a few months of the year Carlsbad has their famous Flower Fields open to the public. The fields offer miles of flowers, in full bloom! The flowers were absolutely gorgeous, the colors were so vibrant! Unfortunately, they didn’t allow the guests to walk through the fields, they only had a handful of designated spots where you were allowed to walk, mainly used for photo ops. However, that didn’t stop us from snapping a few photos!
It’s been a pretty chilly Spring here in San Diego, not quite time to retire those cozy sweaters. I have been in love with this soft sweater I snagged on sale from H&M, it’s extremely comfortable and actually keeps me warm!
This sweater has been getting a ton of love from me this winter and now into Spring. I’ve managed to coordinate it into several different outfits, my favorite being this boyfriend jean combo. I decided to put together an easy look for dinner with Tom.
Spring is right around the corner and I am SO excited. Spring is my favorite season for many reasons and this will be our first Spring in San Diego. I’m looking forward to all of the outdoor activities and I also want to visit the Carlsbad Flower Fields, the blooms are gorgeous this time of year.
Speaking of blooms, Spring also means floral print will be making a come back. Oh how I love my florals 🙂 In light of the season, I wanted to share this beautiful floral shift dress with you all.
Hi everyone! I’m excited to share today’s blog post written by a good friend of mine, Lindsey LaRue. I met Lindsey in college where we were both a part of the same sorority. Lindsey is an extremely talented photographer and is known for her ability to capture the most beautiful moments on camera. I’m so thrilled to share with you her guest blog post, dedicated to helping couples come up with some fun date ideas for the Spring! So without further adieu, here it is!
I have been pretty MIA in regards to posts for the past 2 weeks. You can thank this little guy for that! Tom and I welcomed home an 8 week old Labrador Retriever named Ollie and he has become quite a handful. For the past week and a half I have been scouring the Internet for tips and advice on how to raise a puppy. I found it to be difficult to find exactly what I was looking for all on one page, I would end up reading several different articles/posts off of several different websites. It was then that I knew what my next post would be about: What To Know for Your Puppy’s First Week Home
Happy Hump Day! I am currently sitting at home, sick with laryngitis. I woke up yesterday feeling awful, coughing a ton, and then I realized I lost my voice completely! I spent the majority of the day yesterday sitting in the waiting room at Urgent Care to find out that I have laryngitis.. how does one even get laryngitis?? So here I am, sitting at home trying to rest my voice so that I can get back to work.
In the meantime, I wanted to share with you all one of my most recent looks – Coachella inspired! As you all know, Coachella is a huge music festival enjoyed by music lovers all over the world, celebrities included. The style trends for Coachella has been pretty much the same, bohemian with a vintage flare. You see a lot of lace, crochet, cut offs, flower prints, etc. I came across this maxi dress that I felt would be a perfect casual look for Coachella weekend.
The weather in San Diego has made a drastic turn, it’s been sunny & hot! Yay! I was finally able to take out this lacey tunic I’ve had tucked away in my closet, awaiting the sunshine. I love this tunic because it’s so easy to style. Shop this tunic here: Lacey Tunic
I had a pretty relaxing day at home this past weekend and threw on this tunic with a simple cardigan. Such a cute way to stay comfortable but I was also to leave the house to run errands. I have a feeling that this tunic will make several appearances in my wardrobe this summer, especially for the beach. The lace details throughout and the flow of the tunic makes it perfect to wear for the summer.
I think everyone should own a versatile tunic, one that can be worn different ways no matter what the season. With this one being white, it allows even more opportunity to dress up. I love shopping at PB&J Boutique because they have the cutest and most versatile items that won’t break your bank! If you need something to wear to work, vacation or just a night out, this boutique is the perfect place to look.
Thanks for reading!
I’m back again with yet, another set of elaborate sleeves. I can’t seem to get enough of detailed sleeves these days. With Valentine’s Day right around the corner I’ve really had to go on a search for something V-day themed because I’ve realized I don’t own much pink.
Over the years I’ve slowly started to transition from shopping at stores/malls to online shopping. There are SO many more benefits of shopping online, the only “con” being that you’re unable to try on the clothes before you buy it. With that being said, I’ve been obsessed with SheIn (website linked) and I’m sure you guys have noticed that most of my recent posts include at least 1 item from SheIn. They honestly have all the styles and trends right on their website but for a fraction of the cost – for example, this dress is only $27!
I hope everyone’s week has been going well! For me, I am trying to prepare myself for the 6 straight days of rain that San Diego is planning to get. That’s one thing I was looking forward to leaving back in Georgia, but it looks like the rain followed us here! 🙁
It’s crazy to think that another month is about to pass us by and we’re getting closer to Valentine’s Day. In light of that, I wanted to share this adorable pink blouse with you all!
