It’s been a pretty chilly Spring here in San Diego, not quite time to retire those cozy sweaters. I have been in love with this soft sweater I snagged on sale from H&M, it’s extremely comfortable and actually keeps me warm!
This sweater has been getting a ton of love from me this winter and now into Spring. I’ve managed to coordinate it into several different outfits, my favorite being this boyfriend jean combo. I decided to put together an easy look for dinner with Tom.
This sweater resembles a crop top because the bottom is definitely higher than your usual sweater. I’m usually not a fan of crop tops but I loved the overall look of this one and the very long sleeves. It also has a ribbed style to it as well, with the vertical seams, really enhancing that cozy & soft appeal.
I’m not a huge jeans person, I hate how restricting and uncomfortable they feel. However, I’m definitely a fan of boyfriend jeans. Boyfriend jeans are perfect for someone like me, yearns for something loose fitting and doesn’t hug in all the wrong places. Luckily, this pair of boyfriend jeans is not only comfortable but it’s a bit high waisted so it sits high enough to cover that bloated stomach after dinner & dessert.
To accompany the casual look I was going for, I decided to pair these lace up flats that I got from Old Navy. Lace ups are all the rage right now, it gives it just enough flare to pass for a good dinner outfit. These flats have been very durable for me, which is surprising. I was expecting some seams to tear or scuff marks, but lucky for me, nothing of that sort has surfaced. I always turn to these flats whenever I need something comfortable but also a little dressy to wear.
Because both the sweater and jeans I have on were on sale and not available online, I’ve linked very similar ones below. When it comes to fashion, I’m a huge advocate for being comfortable and stylish – there’s no need to sacrifice comfort-ability for looks. It’s all about the way you pull it off and the confidence you exude (not to mention a killer lipstick too). Speaking of lipstick, I’m a bit late on this trend but I’ve been obsessed with the ‘Lolita’ liquid lipstick from Kat Von D – it’s the perfect mauve that every girl loves!
I hope everyone enjoyed this short read & had a great weekend!
